Job Summary
Design, prototype, and test information architectures for the Huntsman Cancer Institute websites. Serve as the UX subject matter expert for digital user needs, behaviors, and pain points—including those of cancer patients, caregivers, and referring providers. Create intuitive user experiences using design concepts. Collaborate with back‑end developers, marketing and communications teams to meet organizational objectives. Translate ideas and concepts into wireframes, mockups, user flows, process flows, journey mapping and site maps using tools such as Figma. Conduct user studies and usability tests to continuously improve design solutions. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, meeting with stakeholders to discuss requirements, using analytics to inform user‑centered designs, and communicating outcomes to key stakeholders. Provide general site maintenance assistance as needed. Partner closely with the University of Utah Health enterprise UX team to align on design standards, contribute to and leverage the shared design system, and participate in regular collaboration sessions.

Meet with stakeholders to discuss requirements, use analytics to inform user‑centered designs, and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
Assist the web team with site maintenance and updates as needed.
Partner with the University of Utah Health enterprise UX team to align on standards, leverage the shared design system, and collaborate regularly.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
2–4 years of experience in web design or a related area.
Familiarity with standard web design concepts, practices, and procedures.
Demonstrated potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in this position description.
