About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented
Media Planner
to support integrated media planning for a healthcare client. This role is ideal for someone who understands the fundamentals of paid media, enjoys turning audience insights into thoughtful channel recommendations, and is comfortable working in a highly regulated category where accuracy, compliance, and strategic discipline matter.
The Media Planner will help develop media plans across digital, social, video, search, audio, OOH, and traditional channels, while supporting day-to-day coordination with internal teams, media partners, and client stakeholders.
Position is hybrid‑remote. We only view applicants who are based in the SAN DIEGO METRO AREA or willing to relocate.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of integrated media plans for healthcare campaigns, including brand, service line, and local market initiatives.
Assist with audience research, competitive insights, media consumption trends, and market analysis.
Help build channel recommendations, budget allocations, flowcharts, tactical plans, and partner rationales.
Coordinate with media buyers, analytics, creative, account, and strategy teams to ensure campaigns are planned and launched accurately.
Maintain media planning documents, timelines, budgets, specs, and campaign deliverables.
Support vendor outreach, RFP development, proposal review, and partner evaluation.
Assist with campaign reporting, performance recaps, optimization recommendations, and post‑campaign learnings.
Ensure all planning recommendations align with healthcare advertising guidelines, privacy considerations, and client compliance standards.
Stay current on media trends, healthcare marketing best practices, and emerging opportunities.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in media planning, media buying, advertising, or marketing.
Experience with healthcare, wellness, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries is a plus.
Familiarity with paid social, programmatic, CTV/OTT, paid search, OOH, audio, and traditional media.
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with budgets, timelines, and spreadsheets.
Ability to interpret campaign performance and translate results into clear insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing deadlines.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
Experience with platforms such as CM360, Google Ads, Meta, or GA4.
