BPCM is seeking a talented Senior Account Executive to join our Corporate Communications team. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in thought leadership and storytelling, with a passion for helping brands define corporate narratives and amplify purpose-driven initiatives.
We are looking for an energetic, proactive, and collaborative professional with strong media relationsexpertise, established editorial contacts, and a strategic approach to client management. This role will work across industries alongside senior team members to develop integrated communications programs and PR strategies that position clients and their leadership at the forefront of their fields. The ideal candidate will be passionate, have strong attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Media Relations/Thought Leadership Develop and maintain strong editorial relationships across business, trade, and consumer media
Secure strategic press coverage, including features, executive profiles, and long-form stories across print, digital, broadcast, and podcast platforms
Proactively pitch and identify editorial opportunities that enhance corporate narratives and reputation
Identify and secure speaking engagements, panels, and awards opportunities for senior executives
Support development of byline content and thought leadership placements
Partner with senior team members to create and execute measurable PR strategies
Manage media inquiries efficiently and in a timely manner
Client Relations Serve as a primary client contact, managing and driving multiple account programs; leading status calls
Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and strategic counsel
Ensure projects and milestones are delivered on time and provide measurable value
Respond promptly and accurately to client requests
Advise on brand positioning and messaging, including development and editing of press materials (press releases, talking points, Q&A, interview prep, etc.)
Ideate, plan, and execute partnerships and activations
Reporting & Tools Review and oversee media monitoring and reporting on client news and industry trends
Manage press credit reporting according to client needs
Ensure timely creation and distribution of editorial reports, press clippings, and budget tracking
Monitor media landscape and trends to inform timely, relevant storytelling and positioning
Utilize tools such as MuckRack, PowerPoint, and Excel
Writing & Content Development Draft and edit press releases, pitches, Q&A, and other client materials aligned with brand messaging
Support executive communications, including thought leadership and LinkedIn content strategy
Ensure all written materials are clear, compelling, and aligned with client objectives
Present ideas effectively to clients and internal teams
Team Management & Development Oversee day-to-day account activities across multiple clients
Manage and mentor junior team members, including interns
Ensure efficient workflow, prioritization, and communication with senior leadership
Support team development and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives internally and externally
Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of experience in PR and/or Marketing (agency or in-house)
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
Proven track record of securing press coverage and maintaining strong editorial relationships
Strong writing skills, including experience developing executive messaging and thought leadership content
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines
Experience working with sustainable or purpose-driven brands is a plus

This role will be hybrid, 3 days minimum in office. The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually. Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. Whether a prospective employee will be paid within the compensation range listed above will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations, and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
