The Opportunity We’re hiring a Product Marketing Lead to own and define how an innovative, high-growth AI company shows up in the market — across product launches, core messaging, and competitive positioning.
This isn’t a traditional product marketing role. In this high-ownership, 0→1 seat, you’ll shape the narrative for what the company is building, why it matters, and how it wins. You’ll sit at the center of Product and Sales, helping tell a clear, compelling story internally and externally as new capabilities are introduced and the product continues to evolve quickly.
At its core, the company has a strong product-led growth motion, making word of mouth one of its most important channels. Because of that, clear messaging matters deeply — across a broad user base ranging from individual practitioners to senior leaders at some of the world’s largest companies.
This role is ideal for someone who wants outsized ownership and visibility, and who is excited to build the product marketing foundation at a fast-moving AI company.
What You’ll Do Own the narrative around new and existing product features — what is being built, why it matters, and how it is differentiated
Lead end-to-end product launches, from positioning and messaging through cross-functional coordination and execution
Build and own competitive positioning and messaging, enabling the team to clearly articulate why the company wins
Partner closely with Sales to translate product capabilities into clear, effective sales narratives and collateral
Identify gaps in current messaging, audit what is working vs. not working, and build a roadmap to test and improve it
Establish structure, systems, and processes for product marketing in a fast-moving, often ambiguous environment
Help ensure the company tells a clear and compelling story as the product expands and evolves rapidly
Who You Are You’re a strong product marketer and storyteller who can take complex ideas and make them simple, compelling, and commercially effective.
Strong instincts for positioning and messaging
Able to translate product capabilities into narratives that resonate with different audiences
Highly organized with strong judgment and prioritization
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from scratch
Collaborative and effective working cross-functionally with Product and Sales
Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
Requirements 4+ years of experience in product marketing or a similar role
Strong experience with positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution
Experience working closely with product and sales teams
Deep understanding of how messaging impacts customer adoption and revenue
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong judgment and prioritization skills
Willingness to work in-office 5 days per week in San Francisco
Nice to Have Experience in startups, B2B SaaS, or AI
Experience in an early product marketing or first product marketing hire role
Experience supporting frequent product launches in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with product-led growth businesses and varied customer personas
