Account Director, Print

We’re seeking an experienced print professional with a strong background in entertainment advertising to join our team as Account Director. We welcome candidates across a range of experience levels, from Senior Account Executive ready to step into a director level role, to a seasoned Account Director seeking their next opportunity at a leading entertainment advertising agency.

This person serves in a leadership capacity, assisting the Head of Print to successfully build and manage strong, lasting relationships with client accounts and manage projects in a profitable, efficient manner. Candidates must demonstrate either agency or client-side experience, and extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry from the print side. Successful project track records are a must. Day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with colleagues on accounts, managing and leading all internal processes and tasks to ensure client deadlines are met. 5 years related agency or client-side experience is preferred. Position may require periodic travel as well as the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays if necessary.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Grows existing client relationships and generates new client relationships in concert with Creative Directors and Head of Print

Serves as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned client service activities and establishes credible business relationships with clients

Responsible for delivering print marketing services to each client in a timely manner and within the scope of the agreement; including all relevant SOWs, Schedules, POR's and Billing

Offers strategic insight to each client, guiding them toward the optimal tactical execution that meets their specific marketing objectives, while actively seeking opportunities to grow client account business

Works closely with designers, art/creative directors, finishers, and other divisions of the department, as well as other departments within the agency, to ensure that directions provided are clear and sufficient in order to produce the desired deliverables for each client

Provides support and direction to team members on client communication when required

Attends off site meetings to represent the department and the project team

Engages in weekly AE meetings to cover billing and new business planning and projections, Daily Production check-ins, and the weekly Account Team meeting

Attends daily production meetings to touch base on project progress

Participates to solve client needs strategically— which includes participation in ideation and brainstorms where needed

Collects hours estimates from development and creative for pricing purposes

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience producing print jobs – both as a client-facing professional and project manager – preferably in the entertainment advertising niche

Proven track record and desire to handle multiple projects with innumerable client changes, while maintaining a calm demeanor

Ability to wrangle graphic designers, art directors, finishers and clients to meet deadlines

Demonstrated mastery of managing OOH pieces such as posters, billboards, bus wraps, subway signs, press kits, etc.

Possesses natural ability to engage clients both personally and professionally

Retains loyal, stable client relationships

Capacity to handle a wide variety of tasks and assignments in a dynamic, fast paced work environment

Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and the desire to introduce clients to potential new strategies and solutions that will positively impact their business

Exhibits excellent communication skills, both orally and in written form

Effectively presents information in both one-on-one and group situations to clients and other employees of the agency

Flexibility, responsiveness and the capability to think on their feet

Demonstrates ability to manage other Account Team members when needed

Must be proficient in MS Office

General familiarity with Photoshop, basic Flash, and InDesign process is a plus
