IT Technical Writer We need an IT Technical Writer for a 6+ month contract role at our client in Los Angeles, CA. The role will be REMOTE. It will require Healthcare industry experience.
Job Description The Information Technology Technical Writer II will use technical creative writing skills to develop, edit and maintain a variety of Information Technology (I.T.) documents, decipher many different types of information and arrange them in a format that clearly explains the objective.
Duties Create and edit moderately complex system related information products, often from scratch, for both I.T. and non-I.T. customers such as procedure manuals, on-line help, quick reference cards, workflows, project materials, training materials and policy & procedures, business and functional requirements specifications, as well as technical design documents. Gather and research information for use in technical documentation. Review documents and written communications for format, consistency, ease of understanding and compliance with existing I.T. procedures.
Create and maintain consistently professional standard formats for various types of work products. Maintains a current internal documentation library.

Analyze business and technical processes and project objectives to develop comprehensive technical and non-technical project deliverables.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Bachelor's Degree
In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience Required: At least 3-5 years of experience designing or developing on-line help systems for non-technical audience, or (2) designing and developing systems specifications, requirements, operational procedures or other technical documentation for a technical audience in a corporate environment, preferably in an IT organization.
Skills Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong project management skills. Strong organizational skills.
Ability to plan strategically.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
