Description

Apple's Worldwide Product Marketing (WWPM) team sits at the intersection of product management and marketing. We shape what gets built and how it reaches the world. As Team Lead for Productivity and Design Apps, you will own the product strategy and marketing for some of Apple's most loved apps: Keynote, Notes, Freeform, and more. You will lead a talented team of product managers, partner closely with engineering and design, and help define experiences used by hundreds of millions of people every day. This is a rare role where you will act as the voice of the customer inside Apple and the voice of Apple to the world. As the Product Management Team Lead, you will manage a portfolio of critical applications. You will be responsible for driving engagement across free applications. For the applications in Apple Creator Studio, you will drive user engagement, trials, and subscriptions. Responsibilities

Define and drive product strategy for Productivity and Design apps across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, visionOS, and the web
Research and synthesize industry, technology, market and competitive trends to identify new product opportunities
Collect and use data to inform product decisions
Evangelize and pitch new ideas to cross functional teams and executives
Understand and communicate user needs and perspectives to inspire the broader organization, and help conceptualize new products and features
Negotiate trade‑offs on schedule and scope to protect user experience and business goals
Partner with engineering and design to turn user needs into great experiences
Build compelling narratives about new features for customers, media, analysts, and executives
Launch products & features worldwide in partnership with marketing communications, public relations, and events teams
Lead a team of skilled product managers — supporting their work and ongoing development
Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of Product Management, including at least one full product development cycle from concept to launch
2+ years of experience managing teams and building efficient, scalable processes
Hands‑on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and partnering with engineering during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap, and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning, and define marketing activities
Recent experience within the last 3 years in one or more of the following segments: productivity and/or design applications, collaboration platforms, and subscription business, or adjacent
Ability to drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, and public, as demonstrated by exceptional presentation skills: developing keynote addresses in an area of deep subject matter expertise, synthesizing information, applying critical thinking and maintaining composure under pressure
Preferred Qualifications

A track record of working closely with design and engineering teams during the full product lifecycle, including research, planning, implementation, and launch
Experience positioning, launching and pricing consumer software products
Strong storytelling skills — you can make complex technology clear and exciting for any audience (customers, media, analysts, industry experts, etc)
Sharp business judgment — you know how to make tough calls and trade off priorities to drive optimal outcomes
Structured thinker and keen strategist who understands technological and creative trends, including their differences across geographies
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Energetic and detail oriented
MS/MA/MBA preferred
Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,400 and $365,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
