Business Development Manager, Litigation The Business Development Manager, Litigation is responsible for supporting the strategic growth and market positioning of the firm's Litigation practice in New York. This role focuses on developing and executing business development initiatives that strengthen client relationships, generate new opportunities, and enhance the firm's visibility in the market. Key responsibilities include assisting with the development and implementation of annual and long-term business development plans, identifying client development opportunities, and supporting cross-practice initiatives. The manager prepares proposals, pitch materials, and RFP responses while collaborating with marketing and communications teams to create sales collateral and thought leadership content. The position also involves maintaining and optimizing CRM and business intelligence platforms, analyzing client and matter data to inform strategy, and supporting visibility campaigns through media outreach and digital initiatives. Additional duties include coordinating client programs, sponsorships, and speaking engagements, managing practice rankings submissions, and assisting with the oversight of the Litigation business development budget. The role works closely with practice leadership and internal teams—including marketing, diversity and inclusion, professional development, and recruiting—to support practice growth and client service initiatives. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree and at least seven years of business development experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Strong project management, analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills are required, along with proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office. The role requires up to 20% travel and offers a salary range of $150,000 to $230,000 annually.
