Position: Digital Communications Manager
Salary: $70,000-$75,000 annually
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Reports to: Executive Director
Type: Full‑time, exempt
Travel: Some Required (in‑state and occasional out‑of‑state)
Benefits: Eligible for Health Benefits (at no monthly premium), Paid Time Off (13 days per year prorated for the first year based on start date), Sick Leave, 401(k), and Paid Observed Holidays.
This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle and will require evening/weekend work over the course of the cycle.

Position Summary
The Digital Communications Manager will lead the Arizona Democratic Party’s day‑to‑day digital presence, creating compelling video and social media content while supporting digital organizing work. This role is responsible for growing our online audience, shaping our message, and turning digital engagement into real‑world action—from voter registration to volunteer recruitment. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and fast‑moving communicator who can produce high‑quality content and respond quickly to the political moment.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Video
Concept, script, film, and edit short‑form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts)
Capture content at events, press conferences, and in the field
Produce rapid‑response videos tied to news and political moments
Social Media Management
Manage AZ Dems’ social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)
Execute a daily content calendar aligned with messaging priorities
Write clear, engaging, and accessible copy
Track trends and drive engagement
Digital Organizing & Campaigns
Support voter registration, volunteer recruitment, and event promotion through digital channels
Build campaigns that convert online engagement into real‑world action
Collaborate across teams to amplify campaigns and messaging
Strategy & Analytics
Help implement a cohesive digital communications strategy
Track performance and optimize content based on engagement and growth
Test new formats, messages, and tactics
Qualifications & Experience
2–5+ years in digital communications, campaigns, media, or content creation
Strong video production and editing skills
Deep familiarity with social platforms and trends
Strong writing skills—clear, concise, and engaging
Ability to move quickly in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred
Experience with tools like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, and Canva
Experience with email/texting tools and digital organizing platforms
Political or campaign experience
