Editor-in-Chief — NEJM Clinician Job at NEJM Clinician in boston

NEJM Clinician, Boston, MA, USA

Job type: Full Time

NEJM Clinician seeks an Editor-in-Chief who brings national recognition, clinical credibility, and a trusted public voice to a new, fast-growing publication for clinicians.

The EIC will serve as the intellectual and public face of Clinician, guiding its editorialboard, upholding NEJM standards of quality and relevance, and ensuring that Clinician content and formats reflect the real-world needs of practicing clinicians. The EIC must ensure that Clinician covers the best clinical research through a “generalist” lens. That said, Clinician is aimed at all clinicians: it is “generalist-first” but not “generalist-only.”

The EIC is expected to participate in regular check-ins and annual board meetings. This is a three-year, fixed-term role designed for a highly accomplished physician–such as a nationally recognized academic, author, or public health leader–who can shape the voice of Clinician and extend its reach and credibility at scale, with an expected commitment of approximately 20 hours per week.
