Job Description
This position will help student employees demonstrate and cultivate the career readiness competencies in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

Responsibilities

Participate in initial training sessions as well as ongoing development and meetings.

Coordinate weekly promotion of events.

Compile and distribute a weekly “5 Things TU Know” email through the email distribution program.

Create, schedule, and publish LBC social media content to engage our student audience and increase social following.

Develop a social media content model that focuses on signature themes within the LBC including spaces, programs, resources, and services.

Develop and maintain thematic content for the Instagram Highlights section.

Develop and implement social media giveaway concepts.

Create opportunities to encourage user‑generated content.

Post semester calendar of LBC‑sponsored events on different social media outlets.

Write captions ensuring that they are on‑brand, on‑topic, and well‑written, as well as optimized for search and user experience using hashtags.

Monitor growth and engagement over time and offer feedback to improve social strategy.

Monitor queries and comments and direct to relevant staff members as needed.

Act as an ambassador for the LBC and the various programming initiatives.

Assist the Professional Staff with various office tasks, errands, and projects as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

Attend all required trainings for the start of each semester.

Attend weekly Student Involvement meetings if scheduling allows.

Assist with programming events as needed throughout the year.

Participate fully in bi‑annual self and supervisor evaluations and evaluation meetings.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled and taking classes as a Tulane University student.

Currently in good standing with the university.

Experience in social media/digital marketing campaigns.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Experience with content management and image/video editing.

Employ strong interpersonal and public relations skills.

Have the ability to collaborate with other students working on the LBC Marketing Team.

Maintain a mature and professional manner and appearance.

Able to lift/move at least 30 lbs.
