Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Marketing and Communications team by assisting with photography, videography and visual storytelling initiatives. This position will also contribute to the capture and development of multimedia content that highlights South Carolina's businesses, communities, and economic development efforts. Additionally, this position will support content creation, event coverage and media asset development while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Photography & Video Support
Assist with photo and video coverage of events, site visits and agency initiatives
Capture b-roll, interviews and visual assets
Support editing and formatting for digital and social use
Organize and manage media assets
Storytelling & Content Development

Support multimedia storytelling projects
Assist in identifying and capturing stories
Contribute to interview-based and documentary-style content
Event & Field Support

Assist with coverage of conferences, B2B events and initiatives (including SEUS-CP)
Capture behind-the-scenes and engagement moments
Support content needs before, during and after events
Team & Project Support

Participate in creative planning
Support special projects and assignments
Collaborate with internal teams and partners
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.

Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, film/media production, journalism or a related field. Demonstrated interest in photography, videography or visual storytelling.

Knowledge of basic photography and videography principles. Ability to support content creation and storytelling across digital platforms. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated creativity, curiosity and interest in branding, economic development and community storytelling.

Must have valid driver's license. May require travel within South Carolina to support event coverage and storytelling initiatives. Must be able to lift and transport basic photography or video equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following:

Photography or video capture, composition and basic production techniques
Basic video editing or visual storytelling experience
Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop or related tools)
Canva or other social content creation tools
