Specific Responsibilities Would Include
The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales growth, executing seasonal strategies, and managing key customer relationships to maximize revenue and profitability. This role works cross-functionally with Design, Merchandising, Planning, and Production to deliver compelling, customer-focused assortments. The ideal candidate brings a strong wholesale background, deep understanding of the retail landscape, and a proactive, relationship-driven approach to account management.
Strategy & Innovation
Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding business with existing accounts; proactively seek ways to grow market share and enter new channels.
Conduct competitive and trend analysis to inform line strategy, pricing, and assortments; communicate key insights to cross-functional partners.
Collaborate with Design and Merchandising to build customer‑specific line plans aligned with broader brand and financial strategies.
Develop and present seasonal business proposals with tailored assortments, leveraging insights from customer needs and marketplace trends.
Partner with accounts to align on brand positioning and execute initiatives that enhance visibility, including in‑store placement and shop‑in‑shop strategies where applicable.
Operations & Results
Oversee daily management of orders, shipments, deliveries, and distribution changes; collaborate with Customer Service to ensure order fulfillment and resolve issues in real time.
Analyze weekly sales performance, inventory levels, and stock turn; recommend merchandising strategies, markdowns, and reorder opportunities to optimize account performance.
Partner with Finance and Operations to manage credit, shipping, and bookings, ensuring accurate execution of all backend processes.
Travel regularly to visit key accounts and regional leadership teams to strengthen relationships and ensure in‑store excellence.
Customers & Relationships
Cultivate and manage strong relationships with buyers, planners, and senior stakeholders at retail accounts.
Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams (Design, Merchandising, Production), ensuring consistent communication and execution of customer needs.
Collaborate with the Retail Coordinator Program Manager to drive in‑store merchandising execution and seasonal initiatives.
Manage co‑op budgets, advertising allowances, and return agreements in partnership with customers and internal finance teams.
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor and coach junior sales team members on sales strategy, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Contribute to a positive, high‑performing team environment; proactively support leadership through clear communication and ownership of responsibilities.
Share best practices and insights to elevate team performance and drive business innovation.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 5+ years of wholesale sales experience , preferably in children’s apparel or fashion retail
Strong understanding of the wholesale apparel market, including product development, supply chain, and retail trends
Proven success in growing business within key national accounts and specialty retailers
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
Highly organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Strong analytical skills and fluency in retail math
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with SAP and NuOrder is a plus

Salary Range: $110,000-$125,000
