Additionally,TheMillleadsthemarketinganddevelopmentoftheTradesDistrict,a
14-acrehubforinnovationlocatedinBloomington’sdowntown. Strategicallylocated

ABOUT THE POSITION
TheDirectorofMarketingleadstheorganization’smarketingstrategytoelevate
brandvisibility,engagekeyaudiences,anddrivethesuccessofourprograms,
events,andinitiatives.ReportingdirectlytotheHeadofOperations,thisrole
integratesstrategicthinking,compellingstorytelling,creativedesign,and
exceptionalprojectmanagementtoensurethatourmarketingeffortsalignwiththe
organization’svaluesofambition,action,andconnection.Thisroledemandsa
strategicandcreativethinkerwhothrivesinafast-paced,entrepreneurial
environmentandispassionateaboutsupportingentrepreneursandstartups.

1.MarketingStrategy&Communication
● Co-developandimplementacomprehensivemarketingstrategythataligns
withtheorganization’smission,vision,values,andstrategicpillars.
● Managebrandidentitytopositiontheorganizationasaleaderin
entrepreneurialsupport.
● Craftcommunicationscampaignsthatgivevoicetoourbrandandreach
targetaudiences.
● CollaboratewithleadershiptosetmarketinggoalsandKPIsthatsupport
organizationalgrowth.
● Cultivaterelationshipswithmediaoutlets,partners,andstakeholdersto
expandtheorganization’sreach.
● Documentandsharestoriesfromwithinourcommunitythatincrease
exposurewithinthegreaterIndianastartupecosystem.
2.Design&CreativeOversight
● Ensureallmarketingcollateralmeetshigh-qualitystandardsandalignswith
brandguidelines.
● Developcreativeassets,includingwebsiteupdates,eventbranding,program
materials,andsocialmediacampaigns.
● Workcloselywithgraphicdesigners,photographers,andvideographers
(in-houseorfreelance)toproducecompellingcontent.
● Experimentwithinnovativestorytellingmethodsandemergingmediatrends
tohighlightsuccessstoriesandTheMill’spositiveimpacts.
3.ProjectManagement&TeamLeadership
● Planandexecutemarketinginitiatives,ensuringtimelydeliveryandalignment
withorganizationalgoals.
● Overseethemarketingbudget,allocatingresourcesefficientlytomaximize
impact.
● Lead,mentor,andgrowasmallmarketingteam,fosteringanenvironmentof
creativityandaccountability.
● Managerelationshipswithexternalagenciesandcontractorsasneeded.
● Monitorandanalyzemarketingperformancemetrics,reportingoutcomesto
theleadershipteam.
