Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Political Ops Account Manager will combine client relationship management, project management, and cross-team coordination to ensure the successful execution of client campaigns. This role will work directly with our sales leadership, political operations, and digital operations teams to support day‑to‑day client engagement, oversee project timelines, and ensure that deliverables exceed client expectations. As our company continues to grow, this role will help maintain existing client accounts through exceptional service, strategic guidance, proactive communication, and consistent engagement. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of experience in technology, media, public affairs, lobbying, and campaigns, and thrives in a fast‑paced, technology‑forward, and client‑facing startup environment.
What you’ll do: Client Relationship Management Translate AI and other ad tech tools into actionable political strategies for clients
Build strong networks and relationships with clients and serve as the day‑to‑day contact for client accounts
Translate client goals into actionable tasks with guidance from senior team members
Participate in client meetings, calls, and other engagements to support client accounts and ensure long‑term account growth
Track project timelines, deliverables, and workflows across multiple client accounts
Coordinate tasks internally to ensure campaigns and initiatives are delivered on schedule and to specification
Maintain trackers for project progress and provide regular updates to clients and leadership
Ensure client needs, expectations, and feedback are clearly communicated to internal teams
Cross‑Team Coordination Collaborate cross‑departmentally to support successful execution of client campaigns
Facilitate internal communication and collaboration to align messaging, strategy, and deliverables
Manage internal workflows and scheduling to ensure projects move efficiently across departments
Troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution
Account Growth & Strategic Support Support sales leadership in maintaining and expanding client accounts
Identify opportunities for additional services or campaign support
Proactively seek feedback and contribute ideas for client strategy discussions and long‑term relationship development
What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in business, political science or related field and 2-5 years of experience in a combination of technology, public affairs, media, lobbying, campaigns, and/or digital advertising
Experience in client‑facing roles or account management
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship management skills
Comfort working in a fast‑paced, startup‑style environment with evolving priorities
Familiarity with digital advocacy campaigns, and comfort learning new digital tools
Experience with internal project and client management tools including Asana, Hubspot, and custom AI applications
Familiarity with digital tools and a willingness to learn new platforms including Asana and custom AI applications
Located in the San Francisco Bay or Washington, DC metro area
This is a hybrid, full‑time benefits eligible position. In person co‑work time will be required in either San Francisco or Washington, DC. Candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay area or the Washington, DC metro area. Neptune Ops provides a robust suite of benefits including: discretionary time off, health, dental, vision, mental health, pet, and legal insurance as well as 401(k) match, sick time, holiday pay, and paid time off for bereavement and jury duty. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000-125,000. Base compensation is determined by many factors including: geography, the candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for our annual discretionary bonus program.
