News Producer

Role Description
This full-time, on-site News Producer position. The News Producer will oversee the creation of engaging and accurate newscasts, manage newsroom operations, and collaborate with reporters, anchors, and production teams. Responsibilities include writing scripts, planning stories, coordinating broadcasting elements, and ensuring adherence to journalistic standards and deadlines. This role requires strong time-management and teamwork skills to deliver high-quality news content to our viewers. We are looking for a creative individual who is not a show stacker and can craft a rundown that is nimble to breaking news, weather, and can showcase the day big stories using multiple elements. Spelling Bee champs wanted for this opportunity in a beautiful, mountain setting.

Qualifications

Proficiency in News Production, Broadcasting, and Broadcast Television

Strong skills in News Writing and Writing

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment

Familiarity with industry-standard studio equipment and software is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting, or a related field preferred

Previous experience in a newsroom or broadcast environment is a definite advantage
