About the Role
Barron’s is looking for a journalist to provide the definitive voice on technology—a reporter who doesn’t just follow the news, but anticipates the market shifts that define it. From the AI arms race to the next generation of disruptive IPOs, you will provide Barron’s readers with exclusive scoops on the biggest companies and/or investment advice for a sector at the cutting edge.
You Will
Break news on the tech sector\'s most important companies and report with factual accuracy
Analyze corporate financial statements, and explain corporate finance and strategy in a compelling and accessible way
Express strong views on financial markets and individual stocks
Experiment with different forms of storytelling on a variety of digital platforms as well as in print
Engage with audiences on video, podcasts, and at live events
You Have
7 years of related experience
Knowledge and passion about the tech industry, with an extensive network of relevant sources and a practical understanding of the issues investors consider when making decisions
Experience with writing in-depth feature articles and quick insightful pieces of analysis
Accustomed to and energized by the pace of a digital newsroom and reliable at turning in excellent stories under tight deadlines
Experience in data analysis and in collaborating with designers on data visualizations
