What You'll Do
Own and lead the overall social media strategy across all shows, with a focus on sustained audience growth, engagement, and brand positioning
Develop platform-specific strategies that align with content releases, business goals, and evolving audience behavior
Translate performance data into clear strategic direction, using analytics to guide content decisions and optimize results over time
Oversee content planning and publishing workflows, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment across all platforms
Partner closely with production, design, and marketing teams to shape content from a strategic standpoint, not just execution
Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, formats, and platform shifts to keep our content competitive and culturally relevant
Lead social campaigns for major initiatives including episode launches, merchandise drops, and brand partnerships
Establish and refine each show’s voice and positioning across platforms while maintaining overall brand cohesion
Implement and manage testing frameworks for content formats, messaging, and posting strategies to continuously improve performance
Monitor audience sentiment and community engagement to inform content strategy and brand decisions
Track competitive landscape and proactively identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
Provide regular performance reporting with clear insights, strategic recommendations, and forward-looking plans
Act as a key voice in shaping how our content is distributed, discovered, and experienced across platforms
Own the social publishing calendar aligned to episode releases, tentpole campaigns, and community moments
Maintain our brand voice and uphold editorial standards across all platforms
Monitor audience sentiment, highlight trends, and provide insights to marketing, editorial, and leadership teams
Produce, edit, and publish high-quality native content for our shows across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, X, and more
What You'll Bring to the Table
3+ years of experience managing and growing social media accounts, preferably for digital media, podcasts, or entertainment brands
Proven track record of driving audience growth, engagement, and platform performance (with examples or metrics)
Deep understanding of platform strategy across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X, including how content should differ on each
Experience developing and executing social media strategies, not just posting content
Strong understanding of analytics tools (YouTube Studio, Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, etc.) and ability to translate data into actionable decisions
Experience planning content calendars and aligning social strategy with episode releases, campaigns, and trends
Ability to identify trends early and adapt content quickly to maximize reach and relevance
Strong copywriting skills tailored to different platforms, including hooks, captions, and audience engagement tactics
Experience collaborating with editors, designers, and producers to guide content creation based on strategy
Ability to balance creative instincts with performance data to continuously optimize content
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Genuine understanding of internet culture, social trends, and what makes content shareable
Experience managing brand voice and maintaining consistency across multiple shows or accounts
Experience balancing evergreen and real-time content while managing a publishing calendar
Excellent storytelling and written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn
Background in journalism, creative writing, or digital media is a plus
A genuine passion for true crime, paranormal topics, and mysteries
Willingness to sign an NDA
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Flexible mindset - comfortable operating outside of a traditional 9-5 schedule as needed
