Job Summary
Assistant Professor of Digital Animation (tenure‑track, full‑time). Preferred start date August 2026. Nine‑month contract. Full‑time, regular position located in Georgia, teaching undergraduate courses in the BFA Digital Animation program and graduate courses in the MA in Art and Design.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses using traditional and digital illustration techniques.
- Develop curriculum in Illustration and Sequential Art.
- Mentor undergraduate students.
- Engage in creative endeavors and scholarly activities.
- Participate in departmental activities, course development, and serve on committees as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- MFA or equivalent in Animation or Illustration, or terminal degree in a related discipline.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other 2D/3D Digital Animation software.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in 2D and/or 3D animation production, interactivity, design, and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience and established professional record.
- Teaching experience beyond graduate school.
- Online teaching experience.
- Familiarity with industry software (Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Harmony, Toon‑Boom, Storyboard Pro).
- Expertise in motion graphics, illustration, or sequential art.
