Account Manager Summary
In this associate-level position, you will be responsible for the discovery and procurement of freight for our fleet of professional drivers. You'll own a territory, internally known as a zone. Within that zone, you will develop relationships with current and new customers to ensure that our fleet utilization remains high. You'll also be responsible for the analysis of business opportunities to ensure that they're profitable and strategically sound. The account manager is responsible for the creation of the dispatch plan. You'll also collaborate closely with other key operational positions to ensure the successful implementation of the dispatch plan. To be successful in this role, you'll need to be a natural problem solver and a phenomenal communicator—delivering a strong customer experience with every delivery.
Your Responsibilities:
- Freight Procurement // Discover and book profitable freight within your zone to ensure high equipment utilization.
- Customer Engagement // Develop strong relationships with customers to align expectations, address inquiries, solve problems, and identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Driver Collaboration // Collaborate closely with drivers to create dispatch plans, answer questions, and ensure that they're equipped for success.
- Analyze and Review KPIs // Understand and review relevant key performance indicators and market trends to develop strategies to increase the performance of and enhance your region's profitability.
- Business Development // Identify new business opportunities by discovering and onboarding new customers as well as strengthening business relationships with current customers.
- Team Collaboration // Effectively collaborate with internal teams to ensure high levels of communication and a seamless customer experience.
- Review and Negotiate Rates // Review customer contracts to ensure that rates are accurate, competitive, and align with current market conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in logistics, business management, or a related field and at least one (1) years of experience in account management, sales, or a related field. An equivalent amount of education and experience may be considered.
- Leadership // At least two (2) years of experience managing staff or team projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business management, or a related field and at least three (3) years of experience in account management, sales, or a related field. An equivalent amount of education and experience may be considered.
- Transportation Experience // At least one (1) year of experience in the transportation or logistics industries.
Salary and Schedule:
- Salary // Pay will be decided based on experience.
- Schedule // Full-Time; On-Site; Monday - Friday; Quarterly on-call responsibility.
