About the Role
Inside Sales Account Manager responsible for closing advertising sales on existing billboard inventory and orchestrating the entire sales process from proposal to contract. Supports outside sales account executives and handles clerical duties such as generating proposals, sales contracts, production orders, and artwork.

Key Responsibilities

Actively sell and close advertising sales on existing billboard inventory over the phone to established customers or prospective leads.

Handle the entire sales process from proposal to close; reach or exceed monthly sales quotas.

Solicit and maintain contact with current and prospective key accounts.

Track activity and prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status.

Coordinate office marketing needs with the Sales Manager, Lamar Corporate, and the Artist; update and generate new marketing pieces.

Assist the Sales Manager with various duties, including call‑in requests, spreadsheets, and internal paperwork.

Assist the Sales Team with one‑sheets, proposals, digitized artwork, and spec art.

Make 30–50 outbound sales calls a day to actively generate sales.

Assist with sales proposals and track and update sales contracts, artwork, etc.

Answer phones and assist in other office and clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn to use Lamar’s applications, Gmail, Google Drive, and presentation software.

High level of organization, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; able to handle sensitive situations, multitask, and work well as part of a team.

Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy in all interactions.

Attention to detail in composing, typing, proofing materials, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

College degree preferred.

Minimum of 1 year telephone sales experience required; 3 years preferred.

Minimum of 1 year office experience required; experience in a sales or marketing environment preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The primary work environment is an office. Physical demands include light lifting, pushing, reaching, seeing (reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, peripheral vision), sitting more than 50% of the time, standing, stooping, talking, turning, and walking. Approximately 70% of each workday is spent making telephone calls. Nights spent traveling away from home are less than 10%.
