Job Overview
The Marketing Manager is an experienced marketing strategist responsible for developing end‑to‑end, multi‑channel marketing programs that advance Suffolk’s brand, business development, and regional growth objectives. The role serves as the primary Corporate Marketing liaison to the West Region and requires strong strategic thinking, exceptional project management, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

This position requires a consistent in‑office presence four days a week, along with up to 20% travel.

Regional Marketing Leadership

Serve as the primary Corporate Marketing partner to the West Region, ensuring alignment with corporate standards while tailoring strategies to local market needs.

Deliver an exceptional internal and external client experience across all regional marketing initiatives.

Maintain strong knowledge of regional markets, including key owners, developers, architects, and industry trends across Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Silicon Valley, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for key accounts and initiatives.

Discovery: stakeholder intake, audience definition, competitive analysis, differentiator identification, and goal setting.

Creative Brief: develop concise, strategic creative briefs and provide clear direction to creative and channel partners.

Planning: messaging frameworks, channel strategies, and marketing plans.

Implementation: creative and channel kickoff, timeline management, and execution oversight.

Measurement: performance tracking, reporting, and stakeholder check‑ins.

Conceptualize and deliver programmatic marketing plans aligned with regional and corporate business objectives.

Promote Suffolk’s value proposition in priority markets to support business development and pursuit efforts.

Business Development, Pursuits & PR

Partner closely with the West Region Pursuit Marketing team on priority pursuits that differentiate Suffolk and help win new work.

Support business development efforts through targeted marketing strategies.

Partner with PR agency teams to proactively share insights and strengthen communications.

Execute national marketing initiatives while creating impactful, localized regional experiences.

Events, Storytelling & Brand Stewardship

Support Corporate Events function with national and regional events.

Collaborate with Operations and Functional teams to identify compelling stories and develop strategic campaigns.

Visit project sites to capture success stories and elevate Suffolk’s visibility through external storytelling.

Ensure brand integrity and consistency across all West Region markets.

Measurement & Relationship Building

Report on marketing performance using established KPIs and share results with leadership and employees.

Travel to regional offices to build strong relationships and deepen understanding of regional priorities.

Qualifications

5–8 years of progressive marketing experience.

Proven strategic thinking and strong business judgment.

Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated leadership and collaboration abilities.

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position (Marketing Manager, West Region) in US-MA-Boston is between $89,000 and $121,000 USD. This represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Suffolk’s total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Suffolk offers a comprehensive benefits package as part of its overall compensation strategy. Salary ranges may differ by geography and are reviewed regularly to reflect market trends.
