Position Summary
We are hiring an AV Sales Account Manager to manage warm inbound leads and develop new outbound sales opportunities. In this role you will respond quickly to client inquiries, prospect new business, scope and price events, build quotes in Lasso, present proposals, close profitable business, and stay involved with clients through the planning and event process alongside the Production Manager to help ensure a successful experience.

You should understand AV and live events (conferences, fundraisers, concerts) well enough to ask smart questions, propose appropriate solutions, and protect margins, while collaborating with the owner and production team on larger or more complex shows. This is a polished, client‑facing role for someone who enjoys consultative selling, building relationships, and staying lightly involved after the sale to drive repeat business and referrals.

Schedule

Hybrid role with a mix of in‑office and remote work

Regular in‑person site walks, client meetings, and select strategic events

Primary Responsibilities

Respond promptly to warm inbound leads from phone, email, website inquiries, and referrals

Run discovery conversations to understand event goals, technical needs, budgets, and venue considerations

Build AV quotes in Lasso that align with client needs and profitability targets, primarily for small and mid‑sized events

Independently quote straightforward shows; collaborate with the owner and production team to validate labor, equipment, and vendor needs on larger or more complex events

Work with the owner on more complex opportunities, including strategy, solution design, and joining key client meetings

Own the sales process by presenting proposals, revise scope as needed, and move opportunities through to signed contract with payment follow‑ups as needed, with support from the admin team as needed

Stay lightly involved post‑sale through check‑ins, upsell conversations, and support for order changes, while the Production Manager runs planning and execution

Maintain accurate sales data, pipeline activity, communication records, and forecasting in Lasso and related systems

Generate new business during slower periods through personal prospecting, networking, past‑client follow‑up, and outreach to venues, partners, and strategic accounts

New Business & Pipeline Development
This role is primarily focused on converting warm inbound leads into booked business, but also contributes to net new revenue when inbound volume is lighter. You create additional opportunities through outreach, relationship‑building, past‑client reactivation, venue and partner connections, industry networking, and strategic follow‑up. This is not a pure high‑volume cold‑calling role, but it is also not passive inbound‑only.

Qualifications
Must have

2–5+ years of B2B account management or project‑based A/V sales experience. Demonstrated ability to run discovery calls, present solutions, manage a pipeline, and close business

Comfort talking with clients about AV/live events and willingness to deepen that knowledge

Strong communication, follow‑up, presentation, and relationship‑building skills

Organized and detail‑oriented, with strong habits around CRM/quoting tools and documentation

Ability to learn and follow an existing sales process while contributing improvements over time

Nice to have

Direct experience in AV or live event production sales, especially for corporate events, conferences, galas, and fundraisers

Experience scoping and quoting AV or production work that includes both gear and labor

Familiarity with labor calculations, install timing, and production flow, with interest in learning our standards for labor and margin

Experience working with production/technical teams and understanding how shows are installed and run

Experience managing outsourced vendor bids and incorporating subcontractor scopes into proposals

Ability to create simple 2D visuals using Canva or similar tools. Bonus if you can use Vectorworks.

Experience using CRM and quoting systems; Lasso experience is a plus
