The Strategic Marketing Manager leads the strategy, development, and execution of all external marketing messaging, participates in strategic planning for business development, and matures customer insights to drive growth. This individual ensures the most impactful messaging for customer‑facing events, trade media relations, social media, and strategic growth initiatives. Critical to success in this position is the ability to lead and develop the Strategic Marketing team while also collaborating with key stakeholders outside of marketing such as executive leadership, corporate communications, business development, product management, and outside vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides strategic leadership to create results‑oriented, integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, preference and increase demand
Builds and manages talent to enable capabilities supporting organizational strategies
Creates goals and measurement plans to gauge success of marketing initiatives and ensure appropriate investment of resources
Oversees all marketing communications (testimonials, marketing tools and sales aids, social marketing, creative content for print, trade show, video) while upholding the brand
Creates innovative marketing strategies that attract customers and support current programs, products and customers
Manages trade show budget
Partners with key stakeholders to create and execute creative content for trade shows and other major initiatives
Initiates, directs and executes on multiple projects, initiatives and timelines
Maintains strong vendor relations and manages resources and projects
Builds market understanding of emerging trends and competitive landscape
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum 7 years of experience working with social/digital, new product implementations, marketing, advertising, integrated campaigns
Minimum B.S. or B.A. Degree in marketing, business management, communications, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
Prior management and leadership experience

Preferred Skills
3+ years management and leadership experience
Knowledge in B2B, B2C and end‑to‑end marketing
High competency in project and stakeholder management
Working experience with military customers an advantage
Modeling and simulation industry experience a plus
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need‑to‑know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
