As a Video Editor at the National Inventors Hall of Fame, you will be part of an award-winning team of visual storytellers working to inspire the next generation of inventors. Your focus will be video editing, but you will draw on your experience in all aspects of video production, including field and studio production, ingesting footage, motion graphic design, music selection, sound design, and delivery of completed assets. Additionally, you will be part of the video production team, that creates our Education product for children and push the limits of production in creative and efficient ways.
As a Video Editor you must have a passion for video editing and motion graphic design. You will need to be an excellent communicator and organizer. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once while ensuring all work meets or exceeds the expectations of project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As a Video Editor you will be responsible for video editing across projects, participating in field and studio production, ingesting footage, motion graphics, music selection, sound design, and delivering completed assets. You will contribute to the Education product for children and explore creative and efficient production approaches.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Skilled with Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent file management and organization
Ability to work on multiple projects at once
Comfortable with camera operation in-field and in-studio
Comfortable with studio production set up and lighting
Comfortable with motion graphics
Knowledge of or willing to learn, character animation
Understanding of different file types, formats, codes, etc.
Ability to work both as part of a team and on their own
Ability to meet deadlines
Understand and adhere to brand standards
Be flexible to changing needs and priorities
Knowledge of current trends in the production industry and comfortable in offering new creative solutions
Ability to perform other duties as assigned
Ability to regularly work in the office and attend in-person meetings (as business dictates)
Ability to communicate effectively via email, chat, phone, and in-person meetings
Requires regular, reliable, and on-time attendance

Credentials and Experience

Bachelor\'s degree in related field with a minimum of 2-3 years of related video editing work experience.

Vaccines may be required for travel to off-site video shoots

Your Day-to-Day

We are looking for someone who meets change and challenges with new ideas and enthusiasm. This is not a position for an editor that wants to work on a video assembly line. One day you may be working on a high-end long format story about a world-changing Inductee, and the next day it may be an animated piece to teach kids about STEM concepts. Communication and organization are key as you will be managing multiple projects and deadlines at once while ensuring all work meets or exceeds the expectations of project stakeholders. You will be part of a highly collaborative team that is always looking for ways to push the limits of how we can tell stories in a non-profit environment.
