Creative Ad Strategist
(Hands-On DTC Performance Creative)
Reports to: Creative Director
Location: Austin, TX preferred | Orange County, CA second | Remote considered
Status: Full-time, Hybrid
Compensation: $75,000-$100,000
We’re looking for a hands-on Creative Ad Strategist to join an ambitious, fast-moving growth agency with SoCal roots and a newly-established office in Austin, TX. As the right hand to our Creative Director, you assist in both creative direction and execution across high-performing paid social.
The ideal candidate is a one-person creative engine capable of concepting, designing, editing, and iterating high-converting, high-volume ads.
This is not a pure strategist role.
This is not just execution.
This is a hybrid role for someone who can
crack the concept, and in some cases, build it
- translating performance insights into high-converting ad creative without hand-holding.
What You’ll Do
Scale brands to 7+ figures/month in ad spend with an initial focus on telehealth and next-gen wellness brands
Develop angles, hooks, and creative concepts rooted in performance data
Personally execute on creative (video, UGC, static, carousel) when needed
Build out concepts into fully formed ad variations ready for testing
Partner with media buyers, BI, and creative teams to iterate quickly
Maintain alignment with overall brand guidelines and creative direction
You’ve Likely
Operated in accounts spending $500K–$1M+/month
Taken ideas from concept → execution → performance iteration
Built creative that directly impacted ROAS, CPA, CTR, CVR
Have strong design + video instincts (you know what converts and why)
Thrived in fast-paced, high-volume testing environments

Someone who doesn’t need hand-holding to bring ideas to life
Strong creative instincts with a clear understanding of performance data
Collaborative and low-ego - able to operate as a true right hand partner
Detail-oriented, fast-moving, and highly iterative
This is a creative strategist role for someone who understands how design choices drive performance - and can partner tightly with media buyers and creative teams to scale what works.
