The Opportunity
Join our dynamic commercial team as a Business Development Manager supporting our Sponsorship and SmārtMeet Sales initiatives. This role offers you the chance to become an integral part of our Global Sales function while working with industry leaders in the financial technology space.

Key Responsibilities

Meet and exceed quarterly and yearly revenue targets and KPIs

Drive new business growth across multiple revenue lines within key markets and industry sectors

Work with internal product teams to create and refine revenue growth opportunities based on market needs

Arrange and attend meetings with senior prospects, deliver high‑level presentations, draft proposals and contracts

Network consistently within the industry

Produce detailed proposal presentations and develop tailored commercial solutions from across the Money20/20 portfolio

Negotiate deals and close contract sales in a timely manner

Liaise with internal teams including marketing, creative, and finance

Connect people and projects to prevent silos and ensure effective collaboration

Identify and solicit prospects from target event sponsors across verticals for paid, curated meetings packages

Conduct strategic outreach campaigns via email, phone, social media, and SMS to secure commitments

Qualify, pitch, and close meetings solutions

Track and report on SmārtMeet key performance indicators

Collaborate with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to provide insights and improve program effectiveness

Qualifications

Demonstrated track record of success in event sales, particularly in securing revenue for high‑value one‑to‑one meetings programs

Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets within fast‑paced events environments

Exceptional communication skills with the capability to engage and influence executive‑level decision makers

Self‑motivated professional who thrives in dynamic settings and adapts quickly to changing priorities and market conditions

Expert relationship builder who can establish and nurture strong connections with high‑level clients and stakeholders

Excellent multitasker capable of prioritizing responsibilities and meeting deadlines under pressure

Experience in the events and/or Fintech industry, specifically in sales or account management roles (preferred)

Proficient with MS Office suite and CRM platforms (Salesforce experience is advantageous)

Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail for managing client accounts and event logistics

The salary range for this role is $80,000- $90,000 + commission, based on experience.
