About the role
The Marketing & Creative Production Lead is responsible for building and executing a data‑driven marketing system that increases athlete registrations, volunteer engagement, and sponsor interest. This is a hands‑on role responsible for both strategy and day‑to‑day execution, including design, video production, and content creation. This role does not currently include managing a large marketing team; this position is expected to execute much of the work directly while prioritizing high‑impact efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Growth Planning

Develop a unified annual marketing and advertising plan with the Executive Team, aligned with registration and revenue goals.

Execute targeted marketing campaigns for different sports and audiences (40+ sports, international audience, senior population segments).

Content, Media & Campaign Execution

Create and manage social media content focused on athlete acquisition.

Design and produce print materials including magazines, programs, brochures, and advertisements using Adobe InDesign and related tools.

Film, edit, and produce video content (podcast, YouTube, TV segments, athlete features, promotional content and event coverage) using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

Execute email campaigns and digital marketing efforts.

Manage production timelines and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.

Performance Tracking & Analytics

Implement and maintain systems to track marketing performance across all channels.

Measure and report key metrics including CPA, ROAS, and conversion rates.

Develop dashboards and provide regular performance reporting.

Outreach & Lead Conversion Systems

Support and improve systems to capture and convert leads from events, digital channels, and outreach efforts.

Coordinate structured follow‑up processes with internal teams.

Improve conversion from interest to registration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Director of Sponsor Engagement to support sponsor acquisition and activation.

Work with Sport Directors to develop targeted recruitment strategies.

Align marketing efforts with operations and event delivery.

Qualifications
Required:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Audition, and Premiere Pro.

Ability to independently design, film, and edit marketing content.

Experience with marketing analytics, attribution, and ROI tracking.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Candidates are not expected to be elite in every area, but should have strong capability in design and/or video production, with working proficiency across broader marketing functions.

Preferred:

Experience in sports, events, or large‑scale participation‑based organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or related field.

Background in digital advertising (Meta, Google Ads, YouTube).

Experience managing multiple content channels simultaneously.
