Anchor – KSDK-TV, Saint Louis
KSDK-TV, a TEGNA NBC affiliate in Saint Louis, seeks a creative, innovative anchor who excels at both accountability reporting and breaking news. The anchor will develop and deliver engaging newscasts, manage community relationships, and lead with integrity and impact journalism.

Responsibilities

Use editorial judgment to determine newscast content.

Collaborate with producers and team to create fast‑paced, original newscasts.

Leverage social media and digital platforms to inform story selection and highlight key stories.

Write, shoot, and edit news stories for on‑air broadcasting.

Develop original content through social listening and independent sources.

Manage on‑air news events with accuracy and enthusiasm.

Produce daily content on all digital platforms, including social media posts.

Assist with additional tasks as directed by supervisor or executive producer.

Requirements

10–20 years of news anchor/reporting experience.

Strong writing, storytelling, and on‑screen communication skills.

Proficiency with modern editing, photography, and graphics tools.

Experience creating content for television, mobile, and web platforms.

Ability to interview and research news subjects, ensuring facts and credibility.

Knowledge of professional journalism standards and ethical practices.

Journalism or Communication degree preferred.
