Schedule: 1-10pm M-F
Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 annually

On Cue Hire is seeking a Segment Producer for a nationally recognized television news program based in Midtown Manhattan. This role sits onsite and supports the development and execution of daily editorial segments for a fast-paced nightly broadcast.

This position is ideal for an experienced news producer who thrives in a live broadcast environment and has a strong ability to develop compelling editorial segments, produce guest interviews, and contribute to the direction of a national television program.

Key Responsibilities

Pitch timely, creative, and original segment ideas aligned with the show's editorial direction
Produce well-researched interview segments with guests, both in-studio and remote
Write and edit scripts, interview questions, banners, and supporting segment materials
Gather and organize video, sound bites, graphics, and other production elements
Monitor breaking news and quickly develop editorial content as stories evolve
Collaborate closely with anchors, control room staff, editors, and graphics teams
Manage multiple segments and editorial assignments under tight deadlines
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic live television environment
Qualifications

7+ years of news producing experience at a national television network required
Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field required
Proven experience producing television news segments or live broadcast content
Strong knowledge of current events, politics, and the daily news cycle
Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
Ability to gather editorial information using news wires, social media, and other research tools
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced newsroom
Professional, collaborative approach to production
Preferred Skills

Experience editing with Adobe Premiere or similar editing platforms
Familiarity with motion graphics or animation tools
Experience creating or coordinating broadcast graphics and full-screen elements
