Job Description National General is on the lookout for an Auto Claims Supplement Writer to support 1st and 3rd party material damage claims. This role leverages strong analytical skills to prepare accurate, comprehensive damage estimates that drive appropriate claim resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience writing supplements within the insurance industry, preferably in a carrier environment. Residency within the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities Apply thorough understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
Build established relationships with both internal and external customers.
Exhibit proficient estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses.
Process a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments and document all activities in the file within escalated authority limits.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job does not have supervisory duties.
Qualifications Experience with supplemental estimating in an insurance carrier environment.
Ability to manage a claims diary, negotiate with body shops, and take on new challenges.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is provided.
Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is:
Field Adjuster Cons I: $26.49 – $37.50/hour
Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03 – $39.42/hour
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional components, such as incentive pay.
