Director of Marketing

Overview
A fast-growing, customer-focused golf retail organization is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead and execute its overall marketing strategy. This individual will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive brand visibility, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building strategy, managing execution, and leading a high-performing marketing team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
Lead the development and execution of the company's strategic marketing plan
Partner with cross-functional teams to align marketing with broader business objectives
Own and manage the marketing budget across all channels and initiatives
Establish and maintain brand guidelines, including in-store and environmental branding
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and campaign performance to drive decision-making
Conduct market research, sales forecasting, and pricing analysis
Identify opportunities for new products, services, and market expansion
Manage external vendors and negotiate contracts to support marketing initiatives
Develop and deliver internal training on marketing strategies and best practices
Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team
What You Bring
Strong understanding of marketing strategy, brand development, and customer acquisition
Experience leading marketing functions, including budget ownership and execution
Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across an organization
Competitive golf background (collegiate or high-level playing experience preferred)
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Background
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
10+ years of experience in retail, sporting goods, or related industries
Strong knowledge of the golf industry
Passion for the game, with a playing background (low handicap preferred)
