The Multimedia Designer supports Media Fusion's VPIC contract and reports to the Program Manager. This position is hybrid.

Responsibilities

Establish a collaborative relationship with agency leadership and administrative staff to collect information regarding activities across the organizations

Provide digital photography support including shooting digital images and processing digital images using programs such as Photoshop and Lightroom

Setup and support live events including equipment such as video cameras, monitors, and audio equipment

Develop concepts and designs for assigned projects

Present concepts and designs to supervisor and clients

Create professional quality graphic design and visual information for Agency requirements using programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat

Format graphic designs and visual information for the required output, either print or digital (print products are output for Xerox C75/Xerox Versant 180 or similar digital color presses)

Print final artwork on digital color press or large format plotter/printers

Perform post processing including binding, punching, and cropping

Create DVD labels and replicate DVDs utilizing Primera Bravo series replicators

Print badges using Fargo DTC series printers when required

Job Requirements

Able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (active security clearance preferred)

Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, or related field, and 1 year of experience providing graphic design, illustration, and production. OR

Associate’s degree in a graphic arts discipline with 3 years of experience providing graphic design, illustration, and production. OR

Possession of 5 years of graphic design, illustration, and production-related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Must have experience with Adobe CC Master Collection graphic design software including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.

Experience with digital photography and knowledge of best practices for framing shots and lighting

Skilled in providing directions to subjects and processing digital images with Photoshop and Lightroom (preferred)

Must be prepared to provide a portfolio as part of the interview process

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described herein are representative of those which may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in an office environment. If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
