Digital Marketing Manager

Resource Furniture, New York, NY, USA

Pay: $75,000-$85,000/yr

Job type: Seasonal

For over 25 years, Resource Furniture has defined multifunctional design, specializing in transforming and space‑maximizing furniture solutions. Each of our products is hand‑selected for its unique functionality, aesthetics, longevity, and minimal environmental impact. We are a high‑end, multi‑showroom furniture retailer and distributor, the largest of our kind in North America, serving retail, contract, and design trade audiences.
We live our values and seek out those who are: Reliable, Enthusiastic, Solution‑Oriented, Undeterred, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial. Our core focus is to deliver what we promise and exceed expectations for our clients, our partners, and our colleagues.
We are seeking an experienced, self‑directed Digital Marketing Manager to own our email marketing program, website content, and SEO‑driven content strategy. This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role for someone who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and bring both creative and analytical thinking to their work.
In this role, you will manage our Shopify site, build and optimize email campaigns in Dotdigital, write content that reflects our brand voice, and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience online. You will collaborate closely with our Social Media & Creative Manager and Performance Marketing Manager, reporting to the Managing Director of Marketing.
This is a small, high‑performing team. We move quickly, think critically, and hold ourselves to a high standard. The right candidate understands the luxury interiors and design trade landscape, is comfortable operating in a lean environment, and is motivated by continuous improvement: testing, learning, and evolving alongside the brand.
Who You Are

You manage your time independently and stay on top of tasks and deadlines without needing to be reminded
You are a strong writer with a genuine feel for brand voice
You have a working knowledge of the luxury interiors, design, and trade audience landscape. You understand how to speak to designers, architects, and high‑end residential clients differently
You are comfortable in a small team environment where collaboration, flexibility, and initiative are essential
You are motivated by growth. You want to see the brand improve and are willing to test, iterate, and learn to get there
Email Marketing & CRM

Own the end‑to‑end email marketing program: strategy, copywriting, segmentation, build, deployment, and performance analysis
Design and build campaigns in Dotdigital, including weekly blog sends, product spotlights, company announcements, and promotional campaigns
Manage and maintain automation flows: welcome series, abandoned browse, and other lifecycle touchpoints
Develop strategies for list growth and maintain its hygiene; build and manage audience segments for targeted, personalized sends that retain subscribers
Deliver monthly performance reporting with actionable insights and recommendations
Oversee Shopify and NetSuite integrations as they relate to email data flow and campaign execution
Apply CRM best practices to ensure contact data is clean, structured, and actionable across segments
Website Management (Shopify)

Own all day‑to‑day content updates on our Shopify site: product pages, product descriptions, finishes, fabrics, forms, and scheduling tools
Build and maintain custom landing pages for digital campaigns
Execute seasonal and quarterly homepage refreshes to keep content current and on‑brand
Maintain Showroom and Our Team pages, keeping staff bios and location information accurate
Manage the Shopify Content Library, organizing files, images, and assets
Coordinate with our web developer on projects requiring significant development work, providing clear briefs and managing timelines
Content & SEO

Write blog content on a regular cadence, both SEO‑driven articles and project‑based editorial content aligned to our brand
Publish and format all blog content on our Shopify site
Maintain and implement on‑site SEO recommendations, working with our web developer when technical changes are required
Uphold Resource Furniture's brand voice and tone across all content and executions: web, email, and beyond
Contribute to content calendars aligned with product launches, designer partnerships, events, and seasonal moments
Analytics & Optimization

Track and report on key digital performance metrics across email and web channels
Bring a test‑and‑learn mindset to all executions, identifying opportunities to iterate and improve over time
Required

5+ years of experience in a digital marketing role with ownership of both email marketing and website content
Hands‑on experience with Shopify: managing content, products, landing pages, and the content library
Experience with an email marketing platform at the campaign‑build level (Dotdigital experience a strong plus; Klaviyo or similar is transferable)
Working knowledge of CRM principles: segmentation, list hygiene, lifecycle marketing
Demonstrated SEO copywriting ability: blog writing, on‑page optimization, metadata
Comfort with analytics tools (Google Analytics or equivalent) and data‑informed decision‑making
Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone to different audiences and formats
Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and meet deadlines without prompting
Preferred

Familiarity with NetSuite or experience managing CRM/ERP integrations in a marketing context
