Marketing Coordinator
Steampunk is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to assist with special projects related to Marketing, Communications, Sales/Delivery Support, and Events. These projects will be most closely aligned with Marketing and Communications, but may also involve supporting client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Embody Steampunk’s values in all company and business interactions.

Assist with Steampunk’s evolving brand by developing an experience and culture‑based brand presence that inspires and incites action.

Execute the brand across all communication channels, including business materials, presentations, reports, sponsorships, websites, social media, office environments, events, merchandise, advertising, literature, and communications.

Manage and enforce brand elements (color, logo, iconography, voice, tagline, etc.) and assets (images, graphic files, artwork for packaging).

Drive consistency across all touch points—“living the brand” internally by driving brand engagement and governing compliance (brand guidelines).

Work to develop and implement Marketing Communications plans aligned with department goals.

Create and distribute content via effective channels (e.g., social media, email, print, events, blogs) with the right media mix.

Ensure an integrated approach across all touch points to create a consistent employee and client experience.

Exposure to MarCo budget and forecasted spend estimates.

Conduct competitive research and benchmarking of MarCom initiatives.

Remain informed of industry trends and communicate relevant updates and recommendations to the department.

Assist with company and industry event management (e.g., Holiday Party, All Hands, Summer Events).

Assist with internal communication needs such as newsletter creation and communications for special projects.

Support recruiting efforts through communications, events, and initiatives.

Manage promotional item sourcing and distribution.

Other Responsibilities

Communicate and collaborate with sector delivery organizations to drive effectiveness of MarCom initiatives.

Partner deeper with Corporate teams on special projects and events to drive value‑added service and customer engagement initiatives.

Collaborate on company‑wide initiatives (e.g., values, brand promise).

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Local to the metro DC area; required 3-5 days/week in the McLean Office.

Highly focused planning and project management skills.

Strong winning mindset, resourceful in overcoming obstacles, and driven individual.

Current with digital tools and technology (e.g., Google Analytics, graphic design, social media) with high learning agility.

Excellent team‑building and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred

Experience creating marketing and branding assets (digital and/or print), including social media graphics, presentations, or campaign materials.

Compensation
Steampunk determines salary based on geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. This estimate represents a typical annual salary range for the role. Annual salary is one aspect of the total compensation package. Additional benefits details are available upon request.
