Overview
Our client, a multi-market media company with operations spanning the Midwest and Northeast, is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead audience development and brand marketing for its Rhode Island operations. This role is responsible for growing readership, subscriber engagement, and event attendance across the company's print and digital products in the New England market.

The successful candidate will bring creativity, analytical rigor, and a strong understanding of modern audience marketing techniques to a respected regional media brand.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing campaigns to grow audience and subscriber base

Manage email marketing, social media, and content distribution strategies

Lead promotional planning for live events, awards programs, and signature publications

Analyze audience data and engagement metrics to refine marketing efforts

Manage marketing budget and external vendor relationships

Partner with editorial on content promotion and audience insights

Support sales enablement through marketing collateral and lead generation

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

5+ years of marketing experience, ideally in media, publishing, or content-driven businesses

Hands‑on experience with email platforms, social media management tools, and analytics

Strong copywriting and editing skills

Experience managing campaigns from concept through measurement

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with subscription or membership‑based audience models

Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and content marketing strategies

Event marketing experience

Familiarity with tools such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Meta Business Suite
