OCE Technical Editor Support Specialist ProSidian Consulting is looking for a OCE Technical Editor Support Specialist (Full-Time) located in The Hanford Tri-Cities Area (Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford in Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area.
The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide General Support Services Contractor (GSSC) assistance to support DOE Hanford [which consists of Richland Operations Office (RL), and Office of River Protection (ORP)] in support of the Govt's operations, personnel management, and general administration of regional operations at the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
ProSidian Consulting's work includes supporting DOE requirements for consulting support, acquisition support, program/project management support, operational/administrative business support, and environmental consulting support. It is also ProSidian's duty to protect all classified information, special nuclear material, and other DOE property and work in accordance with DOE security regulations and requirements to maintain responsibility for protecting all classified information and all classified matter (including documents, material and special nuclear material) which are in every Engagement Team Member's possession and in connection with the performance of work under this contract against sabotage, espionage, loss or theft.
OCE Technical Editor Support Candidates shall work to support requirements as a OCE Technical Editor Support Specialist and provide Office Of Communication And External Affairs (OCE) Technical Editor support services to The Department of Energy (DOE), Richland Operations Office (RL)
The OCE Technical Editor Support Specialist shall provide support in the following areas:
Coordinate with other technical editors to ensure editorial standards and format guidance is applied consistently.
Compile documents prepared by multiple parties into a single, coherent document.
Support communications using the entire suite of Microsoft Office software tools.
Apply industry standard/best practices, including adhering to style guides when writing and editing documents.
Apply accurately editorial standard and format guidance.
Coordinate and provide analysis to support the production of documents.
Provide configuration management, writing and editing of documents, assessment reports, and stakeholder outreach products.
Follow DOE policies and procedures regarding information management and clearance processes.
The OCE Technical Editor Support Specialist shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The OCE Technical Editor Support Specialist shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
Two years of relevant experience
A bachelor's degree in relevant field of study
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other automation tools
Ability to adapt to editorial standard and format guidance
Ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks with dynamic priorities
Ability to work with individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds
Ability to correctly and concisely capture complex ideas in writing
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Skill in applying a variety of writing style guides to documents for different audiences (e.g. Associated Press)
U.S. citizenship
TRAVEL: Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy - Richland Operations Office, The Hanford Site, and Richland, WA.
