Primary Purpose
The Associate Account Executive will cover the Central Region territory including North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Mississippi, Western Pennsylvania, Western West Virginia, Indiana, and Illinois. After six months in the position, the employee will be required to live in one of the territory states and close to a metropolitan airport.
Salary Range
$54,953.60 to $69,524.00 (midpoint). Exact compensation will vary based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
Target and/or maintain prospective large regional IDN opportunities, hospitals, and assigned reference laboratories for reference testing relationships.
Develop, refine, and employ key customer sales strategies.
Execute cross‑functional and cross‑segment strategies aligned with overall company objectives.
Develop and manage relationships with targeted accounts and current clients and their business leaders, including CEOs, CFOs, and CMOs of large healthcare systems and hospitals.
Close significant new business opportunities in current clients and targeted accounts with long‑term development plans.
Develop business plans with clearly defined strategies and objectives at the IDN level and the individual account level.
Develop and implement detailed implementation plans for securing contracts and coordinating the efforts of key players in Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
Ensure contract optimization through effective implementation strategies and formal business reviews.
Communicate ARUP's value proposition at regular intervals at all levels within assigned accounts.
Conduct Formal Business Reviews annually in top accounts.
Comply with organizational requirements for documentation in ARUP CRM.
Conduct Strategic Business Calls ensuring an in‑depth understanding of customer goals and strategy.
Develop and implement value‑added programs over the duration of account contracts.
Meet ARUP quarterly continuing education requirements.
Ensure compliance with all company policy and government regulations.

Physical and Other Requirements
Stooping: bending at the waist.
Reaching: extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: occasional movement between work sites and office.
Communicate: frequently and effectively communicate with others.
PPE: biohazard laboratory environment requiring PPE per CDC and OSHA regulations.
Adhere to all ARUP policies and procedures.
Sedentary work: occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
Fine motor control: performing tasks primarily with fingers.
Travel: off‑site travel 40–60% of time.
Valid driver’s license with no moving violations within the previous two years and no alcohol or drug violations on record.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or better in Business or related field (Required). Master's Degree or better in Business Administration (Preferred).
Experience:
One year professional experience; credit check; proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (Required). Two years’ experience in direct or indirect sales (Preferred). Clinical laboratory and/or laboratory sales and marketing experience (Preferred).
