Job Description
NBUniversal is looking for a dynamic Strategist to become a valued member of the Entertainment Marketing Strategy team (Bravo and NBC) reporting to the Director, Marketing Strategy. The role supports the team in developing marketing strategies that foster innovative ideas, drive cultural relevance, and lead to audience awareness, tune‑in, and fandom. Responsibilities include managing day‑to‑day strategy support, coordinating multiple assignments and projects, and serving as a liaison across internal divisions.

Role Purpose

Assist in the development of marketing strategy briefs using data, insights and analysis to define audiences, positioning, messaging hierarchy, cultural context, and marketing approach for original programming.

Work closely with cross‑functional teams across NBC, Bravo and Peacock to support strategy initiatives.

Maintain organizational tools for the Marketing Strategy team to ensure information is current and accessible.

Responsibilities

Maintain work‑back plans for deliverables and manage the team’s roadmap of upcoming shows and key projects.

Source and gather background materials such as research, show production updates, relevant articles, and other supplemental documents.

Extract and synthesize consumer insights, cultural trends, and show performance from internal and external data systems.

Contribute to marketing strategy briefs, author strategic primers in‑house, develop audience frameworks, and collaborate with external agencies.

Oversee the Marketing Strategy team’s organizational tracker (Airtable) and shared drives, ensuring all updates are incorporated and maintained.

Liaise with internal marketing team members (Brand, Media, Social, Research, etc.) and agency counterparts for alignment and clear communication.

Manage all meeting scheduling for the Marketing Strategy Team, take lead on notes, and facilitate agenda creation.

Assist in onboarding and manage the Marketing Strategy Team page.

Attend meetings related to specific networks and shows, participating in discussions and brainstorming sessions as needed.

Perform administrative tasks such as taking meeting notes, organizing team meetings, compiling agendas, and distributing materials.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

1+ year of applicable experience, ideally in marketing, advertising, promotions, and/or television/entertainment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (writing and verbal), including tact and diplomacy.

Strong project‑management skills with a focus on proactivity, attention to detail, organization, and a keen eye for accuracy.

Self‑starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while managing overlapping deliverables.

Resourceful problem‑solver comfortable tackling tasks of any scale.

Ability to exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive information.

Hands‑on experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and file‑sharing software. Strong data‑visualization skills a plus.

Willingness to work in Universal City, CA.

Desired Characteristics

Additional Requirements

Hybrid : Position currently requires at least four days per week in the office. Company reserves right to change in‑office requirements.

Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000.
