Role Description
This part-time organization role is based in Tallahassee, FL. The Graphic and Website Designer will be responsible for creating visually engaging graphic materials and maintaining the newspaper's website. Tasks include designing custom graphics for the design of the website, developing and maintaining responsive website layouts, and collaborating with the editorial team to enhance the design and functionality of the website content. The role is great for students looking for website and graphic design opportunities to build their portfolio.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Graphic Design, Graphic Editing, and Visual Branding

Experience in Web Design, including layout creation and design principles

Knowledge of Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design techniques

Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

Familiarity with website platforms such as WordPress or similar CMS tools

Experience working in a content-driven or media environment is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field preferred
