Job Description

Event Crew 3 will serve as the primary "lead" of specific higher trained areas such as Exhibitions, Tent installation, Deliveries, Power/Lighting, or cross utilization between multiple event departments. This position will report daily to the Event Supervisor/Manager while working with the other lead positions on completing weekly orders and tasks with minimal supervision. Other duties include loading and unloading trucks, cleaning and repairing equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and exhibition installation/strike. The incumbent will also provide general assistance and support for leadership, the department, and the company as needed.
Essential Job Duties

Oversee and contribute to the delivery, setup, and strike of stages, dance floors, lighting, tables, chairs, etc., with minimal to no supervision.
Install all frame/pole tent installations (and below in size) with minimal supervision, and supporting structure installation/strike as a team.
Lead a small crew when the crew lead or supervisor is unavailable.
Oversee and execute exhibition‑related tasks such as installations/strikes and maintenance.
Ensure inventory is in good condition and available for use.
Uphold company safety standards and ensure safety procedures are followed.
Ensure all event needs are loaded, secured, and handled safely and effectively.
Interact professionally with guests, clients, and internal departments.
Rig chandeliers, lighting, etc., following correct safety procedures.
Connect power needs up to 50 amps safely via commercial connections.
Operate forklifts, telehandlers, aerial lifts, and scissor lifts safely with training.
Additional Responsibilities

General assistance and support for leadership, the department, and company as needed.
Drive a box truck and pull a trailer as needed.
Continue training to stay on top of industry standards and correct equipment procedures.
Track damaged items and report them to leadership for repair or replacement decisions.
Use pull sheets and the work order system to track requests.
Support multiple internal departments on estate‑wide projects such as exhibitions, Christmas, illumination, and other special events.
Complete all certifications within 120 days.
Requirements

High school diploma or GED; additional training preferred.
At least two years of related experience; ideal candidates will have event experience and/or leadership experience.
Demonstrated commitment to providing world‑class internal/external guest service.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and basic math skills.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively.
Strong planning, organizational, and project/time‑management skills; prioritizes work and adapts as needed. Keen attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
Proactive, takes initiative, and exercises good judgment; creative problem solver and handles variety of situations professionally.
Ability to operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment.
Physical Requirements

Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
Forklift certification may be required.
Climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper applications.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions; may be exposed to dirt, dust, pollen, fumes, smoke, chemicals, and/or other particulates.
