We are currently seeking a
full-time, day-shift Skill Builder II
to join our Children's Program, located in
Jay and Blackford County, Indiana .
About the Role of a Skill Builder II
As a Skill Builder II, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients and families develop essential life skills that support developmental milestones and reduce psychosocial barriers. You’ll work closely with therapists and medical staff to coordinate care and implement individualized treatment plans.
Skill Builder II Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with therapists to develop, implement, and revise treatment plans.
Deliver individual and group skills training for adults and children, focusing on:
Self-care and daily life management
Interpersonal communication and parenting
Illness and anger management
Positive coping and problem-solving skills
Provide case management services aligned with treatment goals.
Support integrated care by coordinating with medical providers and identifying health-related needs.
Complete CANS/ANSA reassessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Serve as a liaison between patients and external agencies or institutions.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
What We’re Looking For in a Skill Builder II
We’re seeking compassionate, motivated individuals who are passionate about whole-person care and thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment. Experience in behavioral health or social services is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BSW) in the following disciplines: Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, Nursing, Recreational Therapy, Rehabilitation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Pastoral Counseling, Child Development
One to two years related experience preferred
Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.
