Territory Management is responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Focus areas include driving new business and increasing penetration in existing accounts.

Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers through face‑to‑face or telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.

Job Summary
The

Territory Sales Representative - Surgery Centers

is responsible for securing and maintaining the distribution channel as well as growing Cardinal Health Brand and Preferred National Brand products within free‑standing Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The complexity of the solutions, products, and services offered ranges from simple to moderately complex selling with longer sales cycles. The role reports to the Region Director, ASC and requires building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers and potential influencers.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage successful key relationships within ASC customers to achieve sales goals in the assigned territory.

Cold call, prospect and build relationships to increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within ASC.

Collaborate internally and externally with national accounts, GPO reps, and other vendors to achieve results.

Conduct data analytics to assess market penetration on products in new and existing clients and identify development opportunities.

Coordinate pre‑call planning with sales support staff and delegate data collection to team members.

Determine prices offered to the client based on Group Purchasing Agreements, find suitable alternatives and assess rebate eligibility.

Complete all administrative tasks and training, including expense reports, pipeline management, maintaining accurate SFDC records, and market feedback.

Provide in‑service account training on product applications and functionality, and on occasion begin night and weekend shifts.

Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, trade shows, and regional and divisional events.

Maintain required sales activity levels, such as expected visits and calls, products presented per account, etc.

Assist with distribution order support and coordination, including back‑order processing and related service issues.

Maintain knowledge of the current industry and competitive landscape, including GPOs, healthcare economics, reimbursement, competitors, and competitive products.

Travel within the assigned territory, including overnight travel, and maintain an active in‑person presence at top accounts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred).

Minimum of 4 years related sales experience (preferred).

Ability to understand complex contracting and develop a sound financial business case.

Experience with business development and cold calling.

Excellent phone, written, and in‑person communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and business acumen.

Demonstrated history of high achievement and coachability through new challenges.

Ability to travel as needed (approx. 2–3 overnights per month).

Valid driver’s license issued in one of the 50 states with a clean driving record.

Customer/vendor credentialing required; may include vaccinations.

Remote work capability requires a dedicated quiet private environment with high‑speed internet (high‑speed internet provided by the company).

Compensation
Anticipated pay range: $123,000 - $143,800 (includes targeted variable pay). Bonus eligible: Yes.
