Copywriter

Wingstop Restaurants Inc., Dallas, TX, USA

Pay: 60.000 - 80.000

Job type: Full Time

What We’ll Need
We’re looking for a concept‑driven copywriter who can bring ideas to life across channels—from emails and social posts to broadcast scripts—while helping shape a cohesive, unmistakable Wingstop voice. This is a hands‑on role for someone who writes every day and loves it. You’ll be responsible for showing up consistently on‑brand across always‑on work, while also contributing to bigger campaign thinking and connecting ideas across every phase of a project. You’ll partner closely with art directors, designers, and cross‑functional teams to create work that’s culturally relevant, idea‑led, and rooted in flavor. You understand how to tap into what’s happening in culture and translate it into work that feels timely, sharp, and true to the brand. A strong candidate is equal parts thinker and maker—someone can generate original concepts, but can also show up daily with smart, on‑brand copy across tactical executions without losing the craft. You’ll play a key role in evolving how Wingstop shows up—helping unify tone of voice, elevate writing craft, and ensure consistency across every touchpoint.

Role Responsibilities

Develop original creative concepts and winning brand moments that translate across multiple channels

Write clear, compelling, and on‑brand copy across platforms (social, CRM, web, retail, OOH, broadcast)

Bring consistency and cohesion to Wingstop’s tone of voice across campaigns and always‑on content

Collaborate with art directors and designers to create integrated, idea‑led work

Translate cultural trends and insights into relevant, brand‑aligned creative work

Present work with clear thinking and rationale

Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Contribute to a culture of strong craft, curiosity, and creative excellence

Experience

3–5 years of copywriting experience, ideally within an advertising agency or in‑house creative team

Proven ability to both concept and execute across multiple channels

Portfolio that demonstrates strong writing craft and conceptual thinking

Creative & Craft

Strong conceptual thinking—able to generate ideas, not just executions

Excellent writing skills across formats (short‑form, long‑form, scripts, headlines)

Experience writing across social, digital, CRM, and broadcast

Deep understanding of tone of voice and how to apply it consistently at scale

Strong attention to detail and pride in the craft

Preferred: Ongoing personal writing practice (fiction, poetry, editorial, etc.) that demonstrates a genuine passion for writing and craft

Cultural Awareness

Strong pulse on culture and trends

Ability to translate cultural moments into relevant, timely, and brand‑right work

People Skills

Collaborative mindset and comfort working across disciplines

Clear communicator, able to present and defend ideas thoughtfully

Open to feedback and able to iterate quickly

Self‑starter who takes ownership and follows through

Who You Are
No job is too small. You recognize that the real work happens in the restaurants, and everything we do should support their success. You stay humble, roll up your sleeves, and always look for ways to help. You learn from others and contribute wherever you can.

You care deeply about doing great work and driving results. You’re curious, ask questions, and seek out opportunities to improve. You don’t just point out problems—you bring solutions, ideas, and perspectives that move the team forward.

You take full responsibility for your work and see things through to completion. You aren’t afraid to fail because you know that failure is a part of learning and growth. You take action, move fast, and keep pushing forward.

You lead with empathy, respect, and emotional intelligence. You collaborate effectively, fostering a culture of trust and constructive feedback. You understand the importance of teamwork and ensure that your actions build others up rather than break them down.

You push yourself and others to be better. You embrace healthy conflict, knowing that great ideas and strong teams emerge from honest, constructive conversations. You believe that leaders create leaders and are committed to fostering a culture of growth, challenge, and continuous improvement.
