Position Overview
The Account Executive will be the sales point of contact for their area of responsibility (AOR) and will provide customer service in order to increase overall sales volume and profitability.

Essential Role Functions

Develop and implement business plans for assigned account(s) in order to facilitate achievement of short‑term and long‑term financial goals.

Develop and maintain favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to foster collaboration and strengthen partnerships.

Prepare for and attend client meetings, ensuring presentation materials, client binders, and product samples are organized for the meeting.

Analyze sales and identify retail trends to drive incremental sales and find opportunities in the marketplace. Research and create reports for management as requested.

Provide feedback to Designers and Merchandisers to ensure products meet client expectations and are within target costing.

Write and complete internal production orders to begin ‘go to market’ process of bringing the product to stores.

Manage customer communications and resolve issues in partnership with Merchandising, Design, Planning, Distribution Centers, and other key teams.

Manage orders, shipping, logistics, and other day‑to‑day client issues.

Work with the Forecasting team on seasonal forecasts to ensure appropriate inventory levels are supported.

All other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree/experience

Required: 3‑5 years of experience in Sales or Buying

Preferred: Retail buying or vendor/wholesale industry experience

Preferred: Experience with apparel

Skills & Capabilities

Strong understanding and practical application of retail math

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel required)

Excellent presentation and communication skills for internal and external audiences

Strong organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills

Ability to analyze and interpret information quickly and accurately

Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Travel & Physical Requirements

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–30%; prior international travel experience preferred

Ability to receive, lift, open, and unpack boxes containing product samples

Ability to represent the company at industry events, community functions, and business dinners
