Job Overview
The University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a
Graduate Assistant in the Office of University Relations
for the 2026-2027 term, with a potential renewal for 2027-2028.
Primary Responsibilities:
Help maintain a current presence for the Office of Admission social media feeds in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok
Take photos around campus and at campus events for the Office of Admission and University of Dubuque social media
Create imagery and digital content for the Office of Admission and University of Dubuque social media
Keep track of social media metrics and trends
Assist with social media projects
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's
Mission
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into the University of Dubuque Master's program
Proficient computer skills (Excel spreadsheet, Outlook, Data entry technology, PowerPoint, Word, Internet, Search engines, and Adobe software and knowledge of social media platforms)
Flexibility with schedule (ex. evening or weekend commitments) to attend/cover campus events
Utilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
Ability to work with a variety of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community professionals
Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects at a given time
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with Adobe Creative and/or Canva
Experience in social media, video, and ability with cell phone and/or camera photography
All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week.
