SUMMARYSan Diego Theatres seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and communications while working for a nonprofit that delivers exceptional performing arts experiences.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate and curate engaging contentDraft, distribute, and pitch news releases, media alerts and other storiesEffectively utilize San Diego Theatres social media and blogBuild and update media listsAssist in event marketing and promotionsPerform research and data and market analysis activitiesAssist in developing community outreach and engagementEXPERIENCECompleted or working toward a college degree in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising or Public Relations)Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plusQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
