The Technical Marketing Advisor is responsible for supporting the commercial development and strategic positioning of Rainbow’s product portfolio in the Italian market through technical expertise, market intelligence and marketing activities.

The role acts as a key interface between European Technical and Portfolio Management, Sales Teams, Distribution Channels and External Stakeholders, ensuring the effective execution of technical and marketing strategies aligned with company objectives.

The Technical Marketing Advisor contributes to the growth of the business by strengthening customer relationships, improving market positioning, supporting product value communication and generating actionable market insights

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Product Positioning

Collaborate closely with European Technical and Portfolio Managers to define and implement technical and marketing positioning strategies for products and crop segments.

Support the adaptation of European technical strategies to the Italian market dynamics and crop needs.

Develop technical value propositions and product positioning versus competitors.

Provide technical support to the commercial organization and distribution network.

Technical Meetings & Customer Engagement

Plan, organize and manage technical meetings with:

Key Customers

Distribution partners

Stakeholders

Rainbow sales network

Deliver technical presentations, training sessions and product updates.

Support customer development activities through technical consultancy and market expertise.

Strengthen long‑term relationships with strategic partners and key decision makers.

Marketing Campaign Management

Plan and coordinate national marketing campaigns across the Italian distribution channel.

Draft and manage the Annual National Campaign Plan.

Coordinate both direct and indirect marketing activities.

Contribute to the preparation and development of:

Technical brochures

Campaign materials

Commercial support tools

Monitor and measure campaign effectiveness and return on investment.

Stakeholder Management

Identify and manage relationships with technical and institutional stakeholders.

Build strong connections with:

Technical organizations

Agronomic influencers

Key customer technical structures

Represent the company during technical events, field activities and industry meetings.

Competitor Analysis

Monitor competitors’ product portfolios and field marketing activities.

Analyze competitive positioning, pricing strategies and market approaches.

Provide periodic competitive intelligence reports to management and sales teams.

Market & Crop Analysis

Analyze market trends, crop evolution and consumption data.

Provide periodic reporting on:

Crop trends

Business opportunities

Risks and market developments

Support strategic decision‑making through data‑driven insights.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Protection or related scientific field.

Strong knowledge of crop protection products and Italian agricultural market.

Experience in technical marketing, agronomy or product management within the agrochemical/agriscience industry.

Good understanding of Italian distribution channels and farming dynamics.

Fluent Italian and good English communication skills.

Strong analytical and presentation skills.

Availability to travel across Italy.
