We are looking for a dynamic leader to drive the GTM positioning, messaging, and thought leadership that will grow Intapp's Financial Services (FS) business—spanning private capital markets, investment banking and advisory, and real assets, with a primary focus on private capital markets. As Director of Financial Services Industry Marketing, you will develop compelling and prescriptive thought leadership, create industry GTM content/sales collateral, and provide strategic deal support for Intapp’s largest client opportunities. You will partner with a diverse ecosystem—Industry Principals, Solution Product Marketers, Sales, Field Marketing, and Demand Generation—to build Intapp's FS value proposition and drive a coordinated go‑to‑market strategy. You will position the company as the trusted voice on the transformation of private capital markets and the broader financial services industry and a strategic partner for firms navigating AI adoption, deal origination and execution pressures, and the evolving business of private capital, investment banking, and real assets.
What you will do
Own the annual messaging architecture for the financial services verticals—private capital markets, investment banking and advisory, and real assets—defining the strategic themes that connect industry challenges to Intapp's differentiated value and drive a single coordinated story across all channels.
Create and deliver differentiated thought leadership, backed by proprietary data or research, that positions Intapp as the industry benchmark and defines what "great" looks like for a modern, AI‑enabled private capital, investment banking, or real assets firm.
Create CXO perspectives on trends shaping private capital markets, investment banking, and real assets, including AI transformation, fundraising and LP relationship intelligence, deal flow and pipeline management, regulatory and compliance complexity, and the shift toward connected, data‑driven firm operations.
Develop keynote content and secure speaking opportunities for Intapp senior SMEs at marquee industry events to establish Intapp’s thought leadership position.
Partner with the PR team to amplify Intapp's voice across private capital, investment banking, and real assets, building relationships with analysts, media, and industry influencers to validate differentiation and elevate market perception.
Partner with demand generation/growth marketing to activate industry ABM campaigns that drive customer engagement and sales growth.
Build and maintain the financial services industry bill of materials—prioritizing private capital markets while covering investment banking and advisory and real assets—with competitive positioning, sales plays, executive pitch decks, library of use cases, vision demos, client proof points, and competitive positioning that drive pipeline and improve win rates.
Partner with Solution Product Marketers to create unified portfolio messaging for private capital, investment banking, and real assets buyers, ensuring a cohesive story rather than disconnected product narratives.
Orchestrate cross‑functional execution: co‑create authoritative content with Industry Principals, execute industry moments with Field & Event Marketing, activate ABM campaigns with Demand Generation, and equip the field with best‑in‑class collateral and training via Sales Enablement.
Support GTM planning for product launches at the industry level, translating platform capabilities into vertical‑specific value propositions for private capital markets, investment banking and advisory, and real assets.
Support competitive intelligence and win/loss analysis to inform positioning, GTM strategy, and product roadmap priorities.
Track performance using leading indicators such as content consumption and event engagement, middle‑funnel metrics such as share of voice, analyst perception, target account engagement, and lagging indicators such as pipeline influenced, win rate correlation, and deal velocity.
Support large, strategic deals by developing custom presentations, executive messaging, and competitive positioning that opens doors and advances deals.
Join executive briefings and presentations, bringing industry expertise and thought leadership credibility to high‑stakes client engagements.
Collaborate with Sales on strategic account planning, identifying opportunities to leverage industry insights and content to deepen client relationships and drive cross‑sell.
What you will need
10–15+ years of experience in management consulting, product or industry marketing, and/or financial services such as private equity, private credit, venture capital, investment banking, real estate investing, or related fintech.
Experience in high‑growth enterprise SaaS and AI environments, including expertise in portfolio messaging or vertical marketing strategies.
Knowledge of areas such as deal origination and execution, fundraising and investor relations, portfolio management, fund operations, AI/automation, or risk & compliance.
Knowledge of private capital, investment banking, and real assets firm business models, buyer personas (Managing Partners, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, Heads of IR, Heads of Deal Teams, CCOs), and the competitive landscape in financial services technology.
Demonstrated track record developing high‑profile thought leadership that builds market credibility and drives business results, ideally including published perspectives, conference speaking, and visibility in industry channels.
Outstanding executive presence and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and engage senior‑level executives.
Entrepreneurial approach to finding new growth levers for the business, with strong problem‑solving skills and talent for conducting research, analyzing data, executive storytelling/messaging, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations.
Exceptional written communication skills, including interest in authoring thought‑provoking points‑of‑view and conducting customer and market research.
Highly collaborative with ability to lead through influence and orchestrate cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment.
Willingness to travel up to 25% for client meetings, executive briefings, and industry events.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA, JD, or advanced degree preferred.
