SUMMARY
This position reports to the Lead Extraction Technician and General Manager, providing support in all phases of manufacturing our products. The Cannabis Production Technician is responsible for assisting in the production of all aspects of the cannabis: trimming, packaging, laboratory work, and other duties as assigned. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and show commitment to being adaptable as they will work in different areas of the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fill, assemble, and label vape cartridges and ensure proper dosage and consistency in all products.

Operate, clean, and maintain production equipment, including gummy molds, cartridge-filling machines, and mixing equipment.

Complete required documentation accurately for compliance purposes, including batch records, production logs, and inventory usage reports.

Prepare and manufacture cannabis-infused products, including gummies, vape cartridges, and other products as directed.

Perform systematic cleaning and sanitization of the extraction laboratory and related equipment.

Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards for safety, appearance, and consistency.

Understand and comply with seed‑to‑sale tracking procedures, methodologies, and compliance regulations.

Calibrate scales and balances accurately to ensure precise measurement of products.

Ensure product consistency and quality through testing, SOP adherence, and proper documentation.

Maintain personal hygiene standards, including hand washing and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) like hair nets and gloves.

Sanitize all production tools, utensils, containers, cookware, machinery, and workspaces.

Identify, understand, and operate all equipment and valves in the lab.

Develop basic troubleshooting skills for lab equipment.

Input production data into a tablet for record‑keeping.

Perform tasks such as cleaning and changing hoses, cleaning the floor, and transporting filter stacks using a dolly.

Use a pour gun for transferring product and other necessary equipment in production.

Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

Replace and manage scale batteries as needed.

Monitor raw materials and supplies needed for production, notifying supervisors of low inventory levels as necessary.

Check and match production schedules with products currently being processed.

Complete additional job duties as assigned by management.

Will work under the direct supervision of the Dispensary Management

QUALIFICATIONS/TYPICAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years of age and comply with tribal hiring regulations

Must be able to pass P.L. 101-630 Background Check

Must pass drug/alcohol screening

Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work well with others in a team‑oriented environment.

Basic knowledge of lab equipment and machinery, with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.

Ability to remain productive during slower production cycles.

Comfortable with physical tasks such as cleaning and using a dolly for transportation.

Prior experience in a cannabis production setting.

Knowledge of state regulations governing cannabis production.

Open availability including days, evenings, weekends, on‑call as needed.

Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start‑up, fast‑paced environment.

Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications in manufacturing or food safety a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Stand/walk for 7-8 hours per day

Ability to repeatedly attach and remove bolts and nuts

Usage of tools: Buckets, Wrenches, Grounding bracelets

Ability to use spray bottle and rags for cleaning

Lift 30+ lbs of ice for chiller coils

Lift/place/remove equipment up to 50 lbs

Weigh/insert/remove material up to a max of 15 lbs

Carry up to 15 lbs over 40 ft, material from packing room to lab

Ability to lift 10 lbs to head height

Step up and down step stool ladder, 50 times per day

Wheel/move on dolly up to 120 lbs butane tanks

Ability to get into and rise up from kneeling position

This position involves working in a regulated environment that requires adherence to state laws and compliance procedures. The role may involve standing for long periods and handling materials in various stages of the extraction process. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a retail environment. The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high. Temperatures in the work environment range from cold and dry to warm and humid, respective to the product processes. The work environment requires the use of PPE at all phases, and strict cleaning and cross‑contamination protocols. The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing and heighten senses.
